Kili Quests Tours is owned and managed by Allen Minja, an experienced mountain guide who has trekked every route of Mount Kilimanjaro during every season for 25 consecutive years. His experience enables him to advise his clients on the best route and length according to their ability and schedule. While many guides will simply show you where to go, Allen’s warm touch and knowledge of the mountain will give you the best possible experience. He can explain to you some of the more complex ecologies of Kilimanjaro and encourage you to push yourself to reach the summit.
With more than 25 years of experience, we have worked hard and trekked harder to build a name in leading hikers and climbers to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. Thousands of climbers have stood on the top with our local guides who have received extensive training and have proven their expertise on the mountain.
We provide tailor-made tours to our customers. Whether you are travelling alone or simply want the company of others, we can schedule your climb according to your need. All our climbs avoid rainy seasons, include acclimatization days, and have limited climbers for better management. We also organize private climbs on all routes for adventure seekers.
We are dedicated to protecting and utilizing natural resources ethically and sustainably. All our guides and porters adhere to strict guidelines and ensure that the mountain remains a clean, litter-free and Africa’s most majestic landscapes.
We comply with all the guidelines established by the Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project (KPAP) and always provide a favourable ratio of tour guides and porters to directly enhance the trip. We take porter welfare very seriously and always ensure that our porters have proper food and shelter and that their loads are restricted to reasonable weight limits. Our success depends on our staff and to ensure that our staff is treated well is our first priority.
Our crew at Kili Quests have the best safety records along with one of the highest client success rate.
Mount Kilimanjaro is the tallest mountain in Africa, and the world’s tallest free-standing mountain, at 5,895 meters. On an average, 30,000 people climb Kilimanjaro every year but only about 50% of the climbers are able to make it to the summit. With Kili Quests’ experienced tour guides, we make sure that you return victorious from your quest to conquer Kilimanjaro. Our tour guides have excellent knowledge and experience of conducting successful tours that make your trip memorable and hassle-free. Equipped and informed with the latest gears and safety measures, we take every step with utmost precision and confidence.
Guides for all routes on Kilimanjaro are compulsory. All our guides are registered with the Kilimanjaro National Parks Board and have been selected based on experience, safety records and client feedbacks. We ensure excellent staff to client ratio to ensure your safety and enjoyment on the mountain.
Over the years, our support staff, guides and porters have made a major contribution to our proud success rate of 96% + and have safely guided thousands of successful enthusiasts to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Our guides are certified Wilderness First Responders (WRF) and are highly trained and experienced in preventing, detecting, and treating altitude sickness.
Our success depends on our staff and to ensure that our staff is treated well is our first priority. The Porters play an important part in determining that you reach the summit. From carrying all your food and gear to taking care of you, they are the heart and soul of your mountain experience. Promoting Socially Responsible Kilimanjaro Climbs we ensure that all our pilocies advocate for and safeguard the fair and ethical treatment of all our staff – guides, cooks and porters. Unlike a majority of touring organisations, Kili Quests has restricted the weight a single Porter is supposed to carry. Our Porters are amongst the top paid Porters and our KPAP certification ensures that on each and every Kili Quests climb, there is a KPAP representative Porter staffed among our crew to constantly evaluate – porter loads, meals, shelters, wages, tipping etc.
